Greasy Fingers
Note: The following mix has been deleted by my server because someone who was featured on the mix protested. This seems to be an ongoing problem with bloggers recently. I'm trying to find out from my server who it was that didn't want you to hear one of their songs, so that I could warn you away from purchasing their music. Once I know, I'll let you know, and you can make your purchasing decisions accordingly. Shit, this is my second warning, so god knows how long we'll be around....
Ummm...hello? Is this thing on?

ReplyDeleteWill this get reposted as individual tracks?
ReplyDeleteInteresting line-up. And that first track is a sure-fire schlobberknocker (sp?)!
ReplyDeleteDon't know a thing about John Paul Keith, but he sounds very "I-20 crossing the Georgia/'Bama state line" should that make a lick o' sense.
where have i been? just discovered your blog, the greasy fingers mix is amazing, always great to hear johnny dollar. any chance you'll re-post some of your older mixes? thanks.
ReplyDeleteWell, dangit. Those killjoys.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Happy St. Pat's. Hope you have plenty of that "black liquidation with the foam on top."
Loved this. Found a lot of fine bands I was gonna buy records from, now i want to know who stoped you before my greasy fingers press that buy-button. Please keep us updated!!!

Whoever complained is an idiot. Most of these bands need the free press. Sure they're probably being screwed out of the potential 99 cents they could be getting from itunes. But I would have never heard of ANY of these artists if it wasn't for this blog. You artists need to decide what is it that you want, money or fans?
ReplyDeleteSo bummed I missed grabbing this mix! So some dumass complained and you had to cease and desist?
ReplyDeleteI have always been a fan of your mixes. I've managed to score them going way back! I am so bummed that I wasn't able to grab this mix...I'm sure it was just as stellar as others you have posted. Keep on. Theo.
