But that makes a swell transition to today's musical treats.
Tonight's the Baseball All Star Game and all it's pomp, ceremony, and self-importance. But I'm still a sucker for it. What can I say? It's a bunch of guys standing around with big sticks, playing with their balls. Wholesome family entertainment. Pills and topical creams included.
So, yes, more baseball songs. I'm not stalling one little bit. This goes out to my good pal Paul, who's originally from Philadelphia, another Pennsylvania city mired in Major League woe. And, of course, props to the greatest baseball player of all, Charlie Brown.

Amen to Tracy, Littlefield, and McClatchy. Before the season started, I was fool enough to think that the Pirates might actually have a winning season--I'm not talking about playoffs or wild card, just above .500 for once. But that's happening anytime soon. Tracy is a horrible manager and makes some of the worst line-up decisions I've ever seen a Pirates manager ever make. At least a few people had signs calling for Tracy's firing and urging Cuban to try to buy the team at the HR derby last night.
Have I mentioned yet that your blog rocks?
yeah, we got rid of him about 3 seasons too late here in L.A. Is he still leaving struggling pitchers out on the mount way too long.
